According to the National Science Foundation, the average person has up to 60,000 thoughts per day. For most of us, 80% are negative. What you think is the basis for what you believe…which is your brain’s way of making sense to help you navigate your way in the world. This means 80% of your beliefs could be the reason that you are struggling in your career, in love relationships, in health, trying to be happy and more.

I know that you are constantly urged to raise your level of consciousness and create your life from that vantage point. The nudge is to transform in order to have a life of happiness, peace, harmony, prosperity and abundance … a perfect landing place.

How to do that?

This isn’t a “just do it” kind of action. For some it is easy, others difficult with most of us midway on the stairwell. For all there are many steps of changing and shifting negative thoughts and behaviors that have to be tackled for transformation to occur. Nobody gets to be a finished product and all of us need guidance to get started. If beginning steps are left out or not clear we will be stuck without a compass and cannot attain what we desire. Transformation does not mean much when we are in the middle of struggle.

We cannot reach that state without understanding what is stopping us and what to do when we know. We can’t really make a “course correction” with our conscious mind.  If that were the case we’d all be happy and transformed. I mean how many times have you told yourself consciously; I am going to change that…stop the negative thoughts or behaviors, stop worrying about what others think, lose weight, manage my money, manage my anger, resolve my grief, manage stress and negative thinking and feelings ad nauseam. If we could have, we would have.

Why can’t we?

Clients sometimes say “I feel like there are two people inside of me”. One says great! I want to do that and I am really motivated to change. Then there is the other part of me that starts dragging my feet with an ongoing murmur that repeats itself with a critical voice, “you can’t do that”, “you don’t deserve anything like that?”

When we are mired in discouragement and negative thoughts, we can’t switch and think positive thoughts just because we want to transform our lives into happiness. Instead, we need to identify where our negative thinking patterns and faulty beliefs come from. Then we learn how to change and heal them in order to get to what we truly desire. That change has to come from within

My work guides you through the steps to heal the Obstacles getting in your way. Once you do that you have freedom of choice and transformation can occur. You don’t have to go it alone. I have been through the steps myself and I have led thousands of clients to healing. Now it’s your turn, no matter how many times you have attempted to get on the other side of the struggle. Start again.

 Is it even possible?

Yes it is possible but it is important that you decide to start from wherever you are. You may not like where you are but you cannot start from anywhere else.

You may know and want to change negative thoughts and faulty beliefs; however you cannot hop into the higher plane of consciousness without healing the obstacles that are holding you back so far… will not work. You cannot succeed. Maybe you can have surface success or happiness for a few weeks, but it can’t hold. There has to be a foundation of healing, a dance floor so to speak for you to be able to dance forward into a full and happy life. If you don’t resolve whatever is keeping you stuck it is much like putting a Band-Aid over a gaping wound.

Years ago, I tried this way, without doing the inner work I dreaded. My Spiritual teacher looked me squarely in the eyes and said “Laura if you do not work through your grief and your anger, you cannot make gains on the Spiritual Path, you will remain stuck.” Believe me I had other obstacles in the way but these were most pressing.

It really stung but I knew it was the Truth. I got into therapy to solve my inner pain. I was able to resolve my grief easier than my anger. Still a work in progress, but I learned to have enough mastery to create a space between the thought and usually prevent the action.  I know what to do and how to help others. I had to learn how to work with my unconscious mind/beliefs and befriend its powerful ways. (Note: Not everyone needs to get into therapy to heal but I did).

What I know for sure is that your conscious beliefs and your unconscious beliefs have to be in alignment for real change to take place. When we attempt to make changes from our conscious mind if we do not give credit to our unconscious mind which has the ultimate power to drive our lives towards happiness or not; we stay stuck. Without knowing what is stored in the unconscious we push, stress and strain trying to get what we want using our willpower while increasing feelings of lack and scarcity.
